Ryan O’Carroll works diligently to form insights into a variety of emotions and fears, with his work focusing on pairs of individuals facing each other. His ambition is to capture the complexity of such visualisations of inner thoughts and fear through similarities and contrasts. His planning of composition of strong correlation levels of fear, and his ability to capture such in the structure and final layout of the image series. The unique concept of pairing individuals by symbolic colour representation creates a visually captivating narrative in which each element of fear compliments or contrasts with its opposing element, essentially giving the viewer a complex series of stories within a single image.
